Saturday: Central Apulia
Arrival in Bari/Barletta and check-in at the hotel (check-in starts at 4:00 p.m.). Before dinner, meet with your guide. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the tour. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel in Bari/Barletta area or surroundings.
Sunday: Apulia
central/Trani/Barletta/ Monte San Angelo/ Gargano Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Trani and visit to its most famous monument, the imposing Romanesque cathedral on the sea. Continue to Barletta and walk through the historic center, admiring the main monuments including the Norman-Swabian Castle, the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colossus or better known as "Eraclio" and the "Cantina della Sfida". Lunch. Departure for Monte Sant'Angelo and visit to the ancient Sanctuary with the Grotto of Saint Michael the Archangel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check-in at the hotel in the planned location, dinner, and overnight stay.
Monday: Gargano/Vieste/Foresta Umbra/ Gargano
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Vieste along the coast of Gargano, the most famous tourist town in Gargano and enjoy a guided tour of its beautiful historic center. Free time and lunch. In the afternoon, return to the hotel through “the Umbra Foresta,” the largest lush forest in Italy, the heart of the Gargano National Park. Dinner at the hotel in the Gargano area and overnight stay.
Tuesday: Gargano/San Giovanni Rotondo/ Bari/ Valle de Itria
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for S. Giovanni Rotondo, a destination for the faithful from all over the world. With a visit to the places where Padre Pio was tied for over 50 years. And continuation to visit a renowned local oil mill with a tasting of oil on the famous Altamura bread.
Lunch during the excursion with a taste of the typical Bari focaccia. Continue to Bari and visit the historic center with the superb Basilica of San Nicola, a masterpiece of Apulian Romanesque. Transfer to Valle d'Itria. Check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Wednesday: Valle de Itria/Grottoes de Castellana/ Alberobello/ Ostuni/ Valle de Itria.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Grottoes di Castellana and visit the grottoes. Arrival in Alberobello, the “capital of the trulli,” and walk through its monumental area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Lunch. Departure to Ostuni, the “white city,” and walk through its picturesque historic center with a visit to its Romanesque-Gothic cathedral. Return to the hotel in the Valle de Itria area and have dinner and overnight stay.
Thursday: Valle de Itria/ Lecce/ Otranto/ Valle de Itria
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Lecce, the “Florence of the South” and capital of Pugliese baroque. Visit the historic center with the Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Duomo and Piazza San Oronzo. Small oil tasting. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure to Otranto to visit this city called the “Gate to the East” with its Romanesque Cathedral, the chapel of the tomb of the Holy Martyrs and the suggestive Crypt. Return to the hotel in the Valle de Itria area and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Friday: Valle de Itria/ Matera/ Apulia Central
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Matera to visit the historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO thanks to the famous “Sassi” neighborhoods and their small houses, wineries and churches largely excavated in the rock, with particular attention to the “Sassi” Barisano and Caveoso neighborhoods. Lunch and departure toward Bari or surroundings. Transfer to the central area of Apulia. Accommodation in the hotel in Bari/Barletta area or surroundings and dinner and overnight stay.
Saturday: Central Apulia

The cost of tickets
According to the program is approximately $45. per person. This amount may vary without prior notice in the event of new regional and/or national regulations or in the case of temporary exhibitions/events.

The names of the hotels will be chosen by Imperatore Travel and communicated 7 days before departure. The planned excursions may be subject to variations or substitutions in the event of adverse weather conditions or for operational reasons. In the event that the visit to a site/museum is not possible for reasons beyond our control, the visit will be replaced by another. Groups can be multilingual.
