Here, visitors will discover water monuments, also known as fountains, and celebrations of greenery, or gardens. This provincial capital, the third largest city in Spain, also boasts a range of museums and ancient monuments and buildings, all with a unique Moorish and maritime touch. Valencia is the birthplace of both paella and orxata de chufas, providing the most genuine environment for tasting these delicacies. Rising from the Old Town is the Gothic and neoclassical Seu, or Metropolitan Cathedral. Its tower, the Micalet, provides a sweeping view of the city's historic center. The cathedral's interior is remarkable for its serene simplicity and a simple, yet beautiful, six-panel altarpiece. The Museu de la Seu, or the Cathedral Museum, holds among other lesser treasures, two large Goyas and one of Spain’s several purportedly authentic Holy Grails. It's bordered to the west by the Serra de Collserola mountain range, the highest peak of which is 512 meters (1,680 feet) tall.
