Highlights

- Visit the city’s most impressive shrines and gardens

- Enjoy a cruise around Tokyo Bay

- Have lunch overlooking Hamarikyu Gardens

Start by visiting the Meiji Shrine and contemplate its architecture; which despite being rebuilt after the WWII raids, still retains a

traditional air. Behold its impressive 12-metre wooden torii gate as you walk through the entrance into a lush location blooming

with seasonal flora.

From here we drive by the Japanese Government centre, the National Diet Building, on our way to the East Gardens of the

Imperial Palace. This is one of Tokyo’s great hidden locations featuring a memorable Japanese garden filled to the brim with

seasonal flowers. Next, we make our way to Senso-Ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street. Of the 33 temples in Eastern

Japan dedicated to the Goddess Kannon, Asakusa Kannon is the only one in the capital. Visit this historic area which includes

Nakamise-Dori, the street leading to the temple where colourful souvenirs and large paper lanterns might catch your eye.

We drive through Ginza, Tokyo’s dazzling luxury shopping area before having lunch on the top floor of the Hotel Shiba Yayoi

overlooking the colourful Hamarikyu Gardens. Hop aboard the Symphony, ready for a 50-minute cruise around Tokyo Bay and

end the afternoon at Aqua City Odaiba, one of the main shopping areas of the Tokyo Waterfront City, and a drive-by Rainbow

Bridge for views over the bay and skyline

Day 3

Mount Fuji and Hakone Tour

This guided 1-day tour takes you to the Mt. Fuji and Hakone area where you'll visit Mt. Fuji's 5th Station and Komagatake Ropeway and go on a cruise of Lake Ashi.

This tour heads straight to Mt. Fuji without stopping at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. This tour is convenient for those staying in Shinjuku, or who do not need pick-up service.

The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, participants will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.

Lake Ashi Cruise - this Crater Lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji from aboard a ship.

Mt. Komagatake Ropeway - take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including the time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.

Possible amendments

Order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions. If Mt. Fuji's 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Lake Kawaguchi or Fuji Visitor Center. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following: Mori Art Museum of Hakone Glass, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc., but this will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason.
