Welcome to Zagreb. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Tonight, gather with your traveling companions for a Welcome dinner.
This morning, enjoy a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark's Church, St. Catherine's Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding city street, browse through the shops, or take an optional excursion to see the countryside.
Today, head to magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of terraced lakes, thickly wooded mountains, and lush vegetation. After your visit, continue to the port city of Split. Your evening is free to explore on your own.
Today begins with a walking tour of the historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Peristyle and Cathedral of St. Duje. There's some free time before you board the ferry and set sail to Hvar Island.
The town of Hvar has a unique cultural and historical heritage, plus a centuries-old tradition in tourism. A morning walking tour features views of the Fortress, Franciscan Monastery and more. There's so much to see in 'Old Dubrovnik,' as we take you to see the highlights: the Rector's Place, Bell Tower clock, Orlando's Column and the Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery and the Franciscan Monastery with its pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure.
After breakfast, we drive across the border into Montenegro. Our first stops are in Risan and Kotor, site of the picturesque bay, one of the longest, deepest fjords in southern Europe. From here, our route takes us to Cetinje, once seat of Montenegro's rulers, today a museum city. We head back to the coast with short stops in scenic Sveti Stefan and Budva, before reaching Dubrovnik in early evening.
This morning, we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
