Breakfast at hotel, check-out, drive to Thekkady a popular wildlife sanctuary spread across 777sq km in the picturesque rainforests of the Western Ghats. It is also the center of spice plantations such as Cardamom, Cloves, Pepper, Coffee and Tee. On arrival check-in and Boat Cruise (subject to availability on direct payment basis) on the Periyar Lake, during this journey you can see the wild animals along the shore bathing, drinking, resting and foraging. It is an excellent spot to see a family of elephants, wild boar and sambar deer by the water's edge, Overnight stay.
Breakfast at hotel, then proceed for Periyar (Thekkady) sightseeing and evening Boat Cruise (subject to availability on direct payment basis) on the Periyar Lake, during this journey you can see the wild animals along the shore bathing, drinking, resting and foraging. Breakfast at hotel, check-out, Drive to Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, Check-in to House Boat, Lunch in House Boat, The cruise takes you across lake Vembanad, through narrow canals heading South passing low lying rice fields, churches, temples, schools and a complete life style in a water world. Stop to buy fish or tender coconut, enjoy delicious food of the boat men or just relax and enjoy the beauty. Lose sense of time as you drift into the sunset. Stargaze to your heart's content and fall asleep to the gentle rocking of the Kettuvallam. The check-in time on House Boat (Spice Coast Cruises) is at 1300 hrs and the boat then sets off cruising along the backwaters of Alleppey and Kumarakom till sunset. Around 1800 hrs, the boat will be anchored to avoid interfering with the fishermen of the lake and their nets. The boats come with en-suite bedrooms that are air-conditioned (from 1900 hrs to 0700 hrs ). On the following day after breakfast, the boat will start cruising again and you will be dropped back to the boat jetty.
